Nickel North Property Acquired
July 31, 2007
Vancouver, British Columbia, July 31, 2007 – Sedex Mining Corp (TSX-V: SDN) (“Sedex”) is pleased to announce, subject to regulatory approval, the acquisition of a 100% interest in the Nickel North Property, located in the Wilhelmina and Geary Townships, 40 km northwest of Timmins, Ontario. Consideration for the Property consists of $250,000 payable over two years and 300,000 shares payable over a period of three years. There is a 2.5% net smelter return payable of which 1.5% may be purchased for $1,000,000.
Sedex has acquired this property and staked a significant land position adjacent to this ground to be called “Nickel North” because the area has the potential for hosting nickel mineralization similar to the Golden Chalice Resources Langmuir Nickel Discovery 30 km south of Timmins where diamond drilling intercepted 72.5 meters of 1.14% nickel.
The property also has the potential for hosting gold and volcanogenic, massive sulphide (VMS) mineralization (copper, zinc, lead and silver).
Geotech Ltd. of Aurora, ON has been contracted to fly their new “B–Field” Unit with their VTEM (Versatile Time-Domain ElectroMagnetics) system for the purpose of developing suitable drilling targets. The survey will comprise approximately 3,000 kilometres of helicopter flying and will commence in the next 30 days.
About Sedex
Sedex is well positioned to discover and capitalize on world class gold, silver, copper, nickel and zinc deposits. During the last couple of years the Company has strategically accumulated large land packages in existing mining or mineral districts such as the Abitibi in Ontario. These properties have existing infrastructure and are often within road access to metallurgical facilities to process mined ores. Details relating to exploration activities on specific properties will be announced during the coming months as the work program is implemented.
