Tidd Property Update

Tidd Property Update

September 13, 2007

Sedex Mining Corp. (TSXV: SDN) is pleased to announce the completion of the first phase exploration of its 2007 program on the Tidd property located in central Yukon.  The work included approximately 2000 m of excavator trenching and the collection of over 2000 soil samples from six grids across the property.

The claims cover 179 sq km and lie within a favourable geological trend interpreted to be the southeastern extension of the Anvil Range District, which hosts a series of well known sedimentary exhalitive (sedex) deposits.  Most notable are the Faro, Grum, Vangorda, Dy and Swim deposits which collectively contained pre-mining reserves of 120 Mt grading 5.6 % Zn, 3.7 % Pb and about 47 g/t Ag.  The largest of these deposits is Faro which contained approximately 57 Mt grading 4.7 % Zn, 3.4 % Pb and 36 g/t Ag.  These reserve figures are historical in nature and do not comply with NI 43-101.

Within the claim block, the Anvil Range stratigraphy is locally overlain with another sedimentary package comprised of Road River Group sediments which hosts the Howards Pass District sedex deposits, roughly 120 km northeast of the Tidd property.  Total inferred resources for the three main deposits (Anniv, XY and Brodel) were reclassified for NI 43-101 compliance in 2006 and are reported to total 112.91 Mt grading 5.40% Zn and 2.14% Pb.  Selwyn Resources Ltd. is aggressively exploring the Howards Pass District.

Exploration at the Tidd property has identified potential for three types of mineral prospects.  Most exploration and all drilling have focused on the copper-silver-indium-lead-zinc mineralization that occurs at the Indium Zone.  The other prospects are associated with Road River and Anvil Range targets located west and northeast of the Indium Zone respectively.

Work in 2007 at the Indium Zone consisted primarily of excavator trenching within the eastern part of the zone (1000 by 750 m area) in the vicinity of the Main Showing.  The trenches crossed untested Induced Polarization anomalies and areas of anomalous copper-silver response.  A total of twenty-three trenches were dug.  Most of these trenches encountered either mineralized float in till and/or mineralized bedrock of variable thickness.   Assays for this work are pending.

Airborne geophysical surveys were flown across the entire property during spring 2006 utilizing the VTEM system.  These surveys identified two sets of highly prospective electromagnetic conductors: one at the transition between the Vangorda and Mount Mye Formations, which marks the stratigraphic interval where Anvil Range Deposits are developed; the other in the vicinity of massive sulphide float discovered in 2006 at the Road River target.  A series of trenches were cut across one of the Anvil Range targets, referred to as the Anvil #1 VTEM, but no trenching has been done at any of the anomalies related to the Road River target.

The Anvil #1 VTEM conductor trends west through a lowland area covered by swamp and a thick blanket of glacial till.  Point source conductors modeled by Geotech Ltd. along the 800 m length of the conductor suggest gently to moderately southerly dips that are consistent with the local stratigraphic interpretation.

A series of excavator trenches was dug across the projected surface trace of the conductor axis over a total length of 200 m.  All trenches encountered unconsolidated grey glacial till more than 6 m deep.  Pockets of ferricrete cementing till pebbles were observed in most of trenches as well as bright orange-red, carbonate weathered pebbles and cobbles.

Four pebbles and one cobble of massive sulphide were discovered in the basal portion of two of the trenches.  Two of the pebbles are largely rotted sulphide (pyrite?) while one of the pebbles and the cobble contain fresh sulphide.  A sawn face across the edge of the cobble consists of fine-grained pyrite with a less abundant black mineral that occurs interstitially among the pyrite grains.  No discernable textures are observed, however, broken faces from two of the pebbles suggest the sulphides may be thinly laminated and cut by steeply dipping fractures healed with clear quartz.

Diamond drilling is scheduled to test this new massive sulphide discovery at the Anvil #1 VTEM anomaly within the next month.

The 2007 exploration program for the Tidd property is being carried out under the supervision of Bill Wengzynowski, P.Eng, President of Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited, the project manager.

The technical information in this news release has been prepared in accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements set out in National Instrument 43-101.  Mr. Wengzynowski is designated as the qualified person who reviewed this information.

About Sedex

Sedex is well positioned to discover and capitalize on world class gold, silver, copper, nickel and zinc deposits.  During the last couple of years the Company has strategically accumulated large land packages in existing mining or mineral districts such as the Abitibi in Ontario.  These properties have existing infrastructure and are often within road access to metallurgical facilities to process mined ores.  Details relating to exploration activities on specific properties will be announced during the coming months as the work program is implemented.
